First of all, I would like to say a BIG thank you for visiting my humble blog. This blog kicked off at the end of 2009 and has been stagnantly accumulating posts for the past three years or so. At the beginning of 2013, I finally decided that I would like to accomplish more on this blog – to create not just a personal dairy but also a professional food blog on which I can deliver better content.
Every post in this blog reflects an aspect of my personal taste and range of hobbies. I love reading and picking up new languages because they furnish me with new perspectives of the world, both of the past and present. I enjoy travelling because it encourages me to derive new insights from beyond my pair of tinted glasses. I find satisfaction in encapsulating special moments of my life with my handy camera which, more often than not, could produce visuals and effects that are digitally more riveting and compelling than what my own eyes are capable of detecting. Most of all, I relish the simple joy of cooking a meal and sharing it with others. The whole process of toiling in the kitchen and later taking pictures of what comes of it is a symbiosis of my hobbies – a perfectly crafted deal for me. All of these hobbies allow me to learn something new every day.
When it comes to food and cooking, I love trying out a bit of everything (that’s my style) – from learning how to cook and plate in Michelin style to attempting local Singaporean dishes at home; from replicating remote flavours and delights to retaining family legacies and traditional essences.
I hope to share my passion and joy with the larger community of food and photography bloggers and enthusiasts out there. Your constructive feedback and comments will always be welcome and much appreciated.
Last but not least, I want to thank my husband, loonychewy, for helping me set up and manipulate the coding languages in my blog. Without his help and continuous encouragement, this blog wouldn’t be what it is today.
