It was quite a clever way to create a pun out of the word ‘moving’. I was wondering how possible it was to squeeze enough emotions out of a piece of painting – regardless of how famous a piece it was – to enable such a befitting status. Now I understand.
Given my current situation, I had to think of something cheap yet meaningful to get for my brothers’ birthdays. And it doesn’t make it any easier that their birthdays must always come at the same time every year. So coleslaw it is for them, for this year at least.
Lesson learnt: Never ever follow the steps taken right out of a microwave manual. It’s horrible and distasteful.
Having friends over again today. Thought I’ll make some dips for them since they would have had a heavy meal at a wedding lunch right before they come to my place.
Apart from the difference in the choice of fruits as compared to the previous one, this butter cake recipe also had an addition of milk and a sequence of whisking that made the cake a lot lighter and fluffier in texture right after baking. I also love how the mango sticks to the cake, which makes it a lot neater and easier for serving guests.
