An old friend of mine, Sze Min, popped by for dinner and a chat last night. Knowing her to be capable of a good appetite (she’s enviably slim), I jovially made a few easy-to-prepare petite dishes to give the illusion of a garden-themed feast.
Of course, my heartfelt thanks goes to ‘Sabine’, because without her, I wouldn’t have realised that this dessert is so easy to make! And I like that I’m no longer at the mercy of dessert hawkers who spoon miserable amounts of gula melaka onto the shaved ice; I can have all of what I want. 😆
Because seriously, I’m desperate. What else can I do with my remaining apple cider vinegar and curry powder?

I’ve just finished reading a very saddening yet brave life story of Kim Jong Il’s personal agent, Kim Jong Ryul. Life and Flight of A North Korean Agent – it is saddening because it seems to me that he will not live to see his one and only dream in life fulfilled – that of the reunification of North and South Korea.
