I was both surprised and relieved to know that my drawing cum colouring skills, using my favourite set of Colleen colouring pencils (it’s been left untouched in my cupboard for almost 10 years) have not forsaken me after all. It was an impulse that made me pick up the set of Sailormoon cards (no, I’ve never liked the cartoons). Thereafter, this impulse made a turn into the fast lane. The sketching, sharpening of pencils, shading and outlining of characters continued persistently. There was no way I could stop myself from the long-awaited and long-exalted delirium.
It’s been eons since I’ve made any trips overseas with my family. It’s not due to a particular distaste of travelling with my family that puts me off, but rather, the fact that it has to be a tour package when it involves travelling with the not-so-aged and the not-too-young. Plus the hard selling at the ridiculously expensive and tale-telling shops – Lingzi, Abalone, Royal Jelly, Ginseng, Pearls….. *Buack*
My neighbour has a hush puppy, called Ashley. She’s such a lovely dog, and I enjoy opening my door every morning to see her eager face poking out of the metal gate.
I love how the colour of this dish turned out to be so rich and intense. The yellow from the ginger and the tender bisque from the chicken wings gave the dish an overall glow that beckons conspicuously to meet its fate.
