This word was used to name the alcoholic beverage &#8216;Christmas Sangria&#8217; which commonly uses red wine and chopped fruits among other ingredients. &#8216;Sangria&#8217; therefore makes specific reference to the deep red colour of the drink which is similar to that of blood.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I am making this Christmas drink just for the fun of it. However, being a white wine lover and not very enthusiastic about red wine, I decided to use white wine instead, thus the term &#8216;<em>Sangria blanca<\/em>&#8216; which means &#8216;<em>Sangria with white wine<\/em>&#8216;. It tasted great &#8211; yummy &#8211; a perfect way to welcome the last month of the year for 2017!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chardonnay: 1 bottle<\/li>\n<li>Sparkling apple cider: 1 bottle<\/li>\n<li>Sugar: 1 heaped tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Pomegranate seeds: 1 pomegranate<\/li>\n<li>Granny smith apple: 1, diced<\/li>\n<li>Rosemary: 3 sprigs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Method<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Combine all ingredients together.<\/li>\n<li>Chill in fridge for 4 hrs.<\/li>\n<li>Serve chilled with ice.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-10551 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/peepor.net\/pint\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Christmas-Sangria.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"522\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Tricks<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You can replace pomegranate with cranberries and the apple with a pear.<\/li>\n<li>If you are a red wine lover, you can also use red wine instead of chardonnay.
