The beancurd rolls were easy to make and delicious. Stay healthy and may the year of Tiger be a very auspicious, lucky, adventurous and rolling fit one for all to come!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minced pork: 100g<\/li>\n<li>Prawn paste: 100g<\/li>\n<li>Coriander: 1 stalk, finely chopped<\/li>\n<li>Light soy sauce: 1 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Sesame oil: 1 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Salt: pinch<\/li>\n<li>Ground white pepper: a dash<\/li>\n<li>Cornstarch: 1 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Beancurd skin: cut into 10cm x 10cm pieces, approx 10 pieces<\/li>\n<li>Oil: 2 tbsp + 2 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Garlic: 3 cloves, finely chopped<\/li>\n<li>Spring onion: 1 stalk, finely chopped + extra for garnish<\/li>\n<li>Light soy sauce: 2 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Dark soy sauce: 1 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Rock sugar: 1 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Water: 1 cup<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Combine minced pork, prawn paste, coriander, light soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, white pepper and cornstarch together.<\/li>\n<li>Scoop mixture onto beancurd skins and roll up into neat rectangular parcels.<\/li>\n<li>Heat 2 tbsp oil in wok. Brown beancurd rolls on both sides. Remove and set aside.<\/li>\n<li>Heat 2 tbsp oil in wok. Saute garlic and spring onions.<\/li>\n<li>Add in light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, rock sugar and water. Simmer till sugar is dissolved.<\/li>\n<li>Place rolls back into wok. Steam for 5min, flipping the rolls over halfway through. The sauce will be slightly reduced.<\/li>\n<li>Garnish with remaining spring onions to serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12399 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/peepor.net\/pint\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Braised-Beancurd-Rolls-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"487\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Trick:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Use a moistened paper towel to wipe the beancurd skins through once so that some of the salt can be wiped away, thereby making the rolls less salty and more appetising.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Serving<\/strong><\/em>:<br \/>\n10 parcels (for 2 &#8211; 3 persons)<\/p>\n<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\" style=\"margin:5px 5px 5px 0;float:left;height:40px;\"><script src=\"https:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js#xfbml=1\"><\/script><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/peepor.net\/pint\/blog\/?p=12397\" send=\"true\" layout=\"button_count\" width=\"450\" show_faces=\"true\" font=\"verdana\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\"><\/fb:like><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Really just wanted to get rid of my beancurd skins, and ended up with an amazing recipe.
