I love how this cake comes with fruit toppings, because it makes them really palatable, attractive and irresistible for both the young and old.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I decided to give this a first try using a very simple, basic recipe that is easy to put together in under fifteen minutes. Using strawberries to top off the cake makes it a perfect gift for one and all to have because it makes the cakes look so heartwarming and lovely, cakes that are baked from the bottom of my heart.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Unsalted butter: 60g<\/li>\n<li>Icing sugar: 55g<\/li>\n<li>Cake flour: 55g<\/li>\n<li>Ground almond: 40g<\/li>\n<li>Egg white: 4 large eggs (80g)<\/li>\n<li>Strawberry: 3, halved<\/li>\n<li>Pistachio: a handful, crushed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Method<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Heat butter in a saucepan.<\/li>\n<li>Bring to boil, and leave to bubble on low heat till slightly browned and bubbling stops. Remove from heat, strain and leave to cool.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven at 180 degrees Celsius.<\/li>\n<li>Butter and flour baking mould.<\/li>\n<li>Combine icing sugar, cake flour and ground almond.<\/li>\n<li>Lightly whisk together egg whites till liquid but not foamy.<\/li>\n<li>Stir egg whites into flour mixture, followed by browned butter.<\/li>\n<li>Pour mixture into baking mould.
