It originates from Indonesia and is very popular in countries within Southeast Asia, including Singapore.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I love that it is a very easy dish to prepare because you use pre-cooked rice &#8211; which means it takes a much lesser time to cook. I can store the rice in my fridge, ready to use once I get home from work. Once the fried rice is done, serve it with a sunny side up and some crackers to complete the dish.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Yum yum!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oil: 6 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Red onion: 1\/2, finely chopped<\/li>\n<li>Carrot: 1\/2, diced<\/li>\n<li>Sambal belacan: 3 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Chicken breast meat: 1 fillet, thinly sliced<\/li>\n<li>Salt: 1\/2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Cooked rice: 5 cups (cooked from 2 cups of uncooked rice)<\/li>\n<li>Sweet soy sauce (kecap manis): 3 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Fried egg: 4 (for 4 sunny side up)<\/li>\n<li>Prawn crackers: a handful to serve the dish with<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Method<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Heat oil in wok. Saute onions till fragrant.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Add carrot and fry 2min.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stir in sambal belacan and chicken breast meat. Fry till combined and just cooked.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Add in salt and cooked rice.
