I was always curious about this particular block which is located right opposite my in-law’s place. It’s supposedly a block with a very long, slightly curved, corridor, so long that it makes for the block with the longest corridor in Singapore.<\/p>\n

There’s nothing spectacular about this building other than the length of its corridor, but it’s kind of nostalgic visiting this block and walking through the corridors because it’s a HDB flat built in the olden days based on older HDB styles and design. And it gives you different perspectives and a panoramic scene as you walk from one end of the corridor to the other. See below image which I took on the twelfth floor of the block (sorry residents, I didn’t mean to disturb or look suspicious).<\/p>\n

It was supposed to take only 4 minutes to complete the walk from end to end, which measures approximately 320 meters in total. I took double that time because I stopped a couple of times to admire some of the views and scenes from the twelfth floor. I couldn’t linger for too long though, because it might arouse unnecessary suspicion from those behind closed doors.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When I finally reached the end of the corridor, there was a guy who poked his head out of his unit to determine what I was trying to do. He was in shadows, and I couldn’t make out his expression, so I decided to run for my life. That ended my adventure at Blk 34 Whampoa West.\u00a0<\/p>\n
