All thanks to <a title=\"Youtube Video: Jimmy's Food Factory 'Hot and Cold'\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OzYAj0WlqdA\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Jimmy&#8217;s Food Factory<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, a show that&#8217;s all about food science and interesting discoveries, he started out on this craze to make chocolate ice-cream (which turned out like sherbet), and then chocolate ice-cream again (which tasted really nice!), and then on to mocha flavour (which became my ice-blended mocha drink) and this time, lemon curd ice-cream. The best part was seeing him get up every 10 minutes to head for the freezer and whisk his bowl of concoction.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s my husband, ladies and gentleman.<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"More...\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/peepor.net\/pint\/blog\/wp-includes\/js\/tinymce\/plugins\/wordpress\/img\/trans.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The good news? The latest piece of his work was a huge success! The texture and taste were finger-licking right. I finished almost the whole bottle of ice-cream.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>Ingredients<\/em><\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Low-fat liquid custard: 1 can (465g)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lemon curd: 1\/3 jar (130g)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Clementine: 3, peeled<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a title=\"Blueberry Conserve\" href=\"https:\/\/peepor.net\/pint\/blog\/?p=1763\" target=\"_blank\">Blueberry conserve<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\/jam: 3 tbsp (or any other toppings)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mint leaves: 6-8<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>Method<\/em><\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mix custard and curd and whip the mixture for 5min, ideally using an electric whisker.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Leave the mixture in the freezer for about 3hrs.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Whisk the mixture again for 5min. Leave it to set in the fridge for 30min.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Repeat steps 2 to 3 for 5hrs, ensuring each time that the mixture is freezing consistently throughout.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Leave to freeze overnight.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Before serving, leave the ice-cream to cool at room temperature for about 15min.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Garnish ice-cream with fruits, conserves and mint leaves.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>Tricks<\/em><\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Buy a good electric whisk before you take up the challenge of making an ice-cream. It would definitely save you plenty of time and energy!<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Actually, the whisker is also supposed to help introduce lots of air molecules into the mixture, which is the secret to making successful ice-creams!<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The best of all would be to save yourself the energy and invest in a <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a title=\"Home Ice-Cream Maker\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lakeland.co.uk\/F\/keyword\/ice+cream+maker?src=ggelc&amp;sq=ice%20cream%20maker\" target=\"_blank\">home ice-cream maker.<\/a><\/span><\/strong> The price could vary from S$50 &#8211; S$500.
