Food stalls selling it can be found everywhere in Singapore&#8217;s hawker centers and markets. Often, they offer 2 types of noodles to customers: fried bee hoon and fried Hokkien yellow noodles. Sides would range from luncheon meat, sunny-side-up, hot dog &amp; fish cake, just to name a few.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more-->A search online gave me a variety of how such stalls are named: &#8216;<em>economical bee hoon&#8217;, &#8216;economic bee hoon&#8217; <\/em>and<em> &#8216;economy bee hoon&#8217;<\/em><em><\/em>. I&#8217;ve decided to stick to the first version, since it&#8217;s the only one that&#8217;s grammatically correct.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Ingredients (Fried Bee Hoon)<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Oil: 2 tbsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Shallot: 20g, chopped finely<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chilli padi: 5, chopped finely<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bean sprout: 200g<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Shaoxing wine: 2 tbsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bee Hoon: 300g (6 slices), soaked 1 hr in water<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dark soy sauce: 4 tbsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fish sauce: 2 tbsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sesame oil: 1 tbsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">White pepper: to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Method <em><strong>(Fried Bee Hoon)<\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Heat up oil in wok.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stir fry shallots and chillies till fragrant.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Add in bean sprouts &amp; Shaoxing wine.
