In any case, I&#8217;m sure this dish would taste just as good, if not better, with any other medium-sized or large squids and calamari which are sold more commonly in the local supermarkets.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Baby squid: 20 (about 350g)<\/li>\n<li>Dark soy sauce: 2 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Fish sauce: 1 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Sesame oil: 1 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Oil: 2 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>White onion: 1, sliced<\/li>\n<li>Water: 3\/4 cup<\/li>\n<li>Sugar: 1 tsp<\/li>\n<li>White pepper: to taste<\/li>\n<li>Parsley: 1 stalk, chopped finely<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Method<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Clean out the squids by removing their heads, skins, beaks, quills, ink sacs and other inner matters. Refer to the video from the <strong><a title=\"Sydney Fish Market\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=R0BtBULmhJ4\" target=\"_blank\">Sydney Fish Market<\/a><\/strong> for a clear guidance to cleaning squids.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mix squid with dark soy sauce, fish sauce and sesame oil. Leave to marinate for at least 1 hr.<\/li>\n<li>Heat oil in saucepan. Fry onion till fragrant.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Add squid, water and sugar.
