Nevertheless, sesame ginger chicken is definitely distinct from the more commonly available sesame oil chicken (I eat sesame oil chicken almost everyday in my staff canteen). It is a recipe that&#8217;s unique, yet simple enough to attempt; it is not as oily, yet strongly flavoured with its amalgamated injection of ginger and orange fragrance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lovely. Easy. Delicious. Try it!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Whole chicken: 1, chopped into pieces<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Light soy sauce: 1\/4 cup + 1 tbsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fresh orange juice: 1\/4 cup + 1\/2 cup<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sesame oil: 2 tbsp + 2 tbsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Vegetable oil: 1 tbsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Light brown sugar: 2 tbsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Oyster sauce: 1 tsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ginger: 1 thumb-length, finely chopped<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Water: 1\/2 cup<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cornstarch mixture: 2 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">White sesame seeds: 2 tsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Parsley: 1 stalk, finely chopped<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Method<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Marinate chicken overnight with 1\/4 cup light soy sauce, 1\/4 cup orange juice and 2 tbsp sesame oil.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Heat up vegetable oil in wok.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fry chicken for 4 min on each side till golden brown.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Remove and place in a medium-sized <strong><a title=\"Corning Vision Ware\" href=\"http:\/\/worldkitchenasia.com\/ap\/ShowProduct\/tabid\/897\/Default.aspx?patternId=414&amp;productType=0\" target=\"_blank\">Corning saucepan or pot<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mix 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1\/2 cup orange juice, 2 tbsp sesame oil, brown sugar, oyster sauce, ginger\u00a0 and water in a small bowl.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pour sauce mixture over chicken and cook over low heat for 30 min.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Turn chicken pieces over to transfer the top pieces to the bottom and the bottom pieces to the top.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cook over low heat for another 30 min.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Remove chicken pieces and place in a bowl.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Add cornstarch mixture into remaining sauce in pot.
