The topping of minced meat could go with many different types of flavourings and sauces too. I love my version of steamed tofu soupy and lettuce-drenched so that it becomes an all-in-one dish, to make for a humble home-cooked meal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Oh, but don&#8217;t forget to top everything up with that huge slob of chilli paste too.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Minced pork: 250g<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Corn starch: 1 tbsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fish sauce: 3 tbsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sesame oil: 1 tbsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Shaoxing wine: 1 tbsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">White pepper: 1 tsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chinese mushroom: 4, soaked in water for 1 hr, chopped roughly<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lettuce (optional): 2 leaves<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chinese tofu: 2 packs (300g each), sliced thickly (about 5 x 5 x 1 cm)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u8001\u5e72\u5988: 1\/2 cup<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Red chilli: 2, finely chopped<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chinese parsley: 1 stalk, finely chopped<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Method<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mix pork with corn starch, then fish sauce, sesame oil, shaoxing wine and pepper.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Leave to marinate in fridge overnight.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Remove pork from fridge. Mix in mushrooms and set aside.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lay 1 lettuce leave each on two plates. Place tofu slices carefully onto leaves.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Spoon 2 heaped tbsp pork mixture onto each tofu slice.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Spread 1 tsp \u8001\u5e72\u5988 onto each portion of pork mixture.\u00a0 Top with chillies and parsley.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Steam for 15 min.
