It is what I grew up eating and loving to eat. So if\u00a0the Straits Times were to interview me for &#8216;Foodie Confidential&#8217; of the Sunday Lifestyle section and\u00a0ask me what I would eat before\u00a0I die, 2 bowls of this is enough to send me to heaven.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you are banal enough to time the whole process, you&#8217;ll realise that it takes more than 3 minutes. Find out why below.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Ingredients for minced meat:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minced meat: 1\/3 styrofoam pack or 90g<\/li>\n<li>Dried mushrooms: 3 pieces, soaked in hot water for 15min<\/li>\n<li>Corn flour: 1 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Dark soya sauce: 1 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Oyster sauce: 1 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Sesame oil: 1 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Rice wine: 1 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>White pepper: 1\/2 tsp<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Ingredients for noodles:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Instant noodles: 1 packet, Koka Ezy-Cook Noodles<\/li>\n<li>Chicken stock: 1\/2 cube<\/li>\n<li>Hot water: 1 bowl (to cover noodles)<\/li>\n<li>Vinegar: 2 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Sesame oil: 1 tsp<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #3366ff;\"><a class=\"alignjustified\" title=\"Simply belacan\" href=\"https:\/\/peepor.net\/pint\/blog\/?p=49\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Belacan<\/strong><\/a><\/span>: 1 whole dollop (or more if you like)<\/li>\n<li>White pepper: to taste<\/li>\n<li>Parsley: washed and chopped<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Method:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Add corn flour to minced meat.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Marinate meat and mushrooms with dark soya sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, rice wine, white pepper. Leave for 30 min.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Saute marinated meat and mushrooms for 3 mins. Set aside to cool.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Microwave the noodles with hot water and chicken stock cube for 3 min (or 5 min for chewier noodles).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Add vinegar, sesame oil, white pepper and belacan into noodles and mix.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Add parsley and meat to serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em><strong>Tricks<\/strong>:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Forget about the minced meat on a busy weekday evening.<\/li>\n<li>Adjust all ingredients according to your liking (preferably more vinegar and chili!)<\/li>\n<li>Add <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span class=\"alignjustified\">\u8001\u5e72\u5988<\/span><\/span> and\/or a tsp sesame sauce for more fragrance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Fiery rating:<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n\ud83d\ude08 \ud83d\ude08<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Serving<\/strong>:<\/em><br \/>\nFor 1 person<\/p>\n<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\" style=\"margin:5px 5px 5px 0;float:left;height:40px;\"><script src=\"https:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js#xfbml=1\"><\/script><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/peepor.net\/pint\/blog\/?p=75\" send=\"true\" layout=\"button_count\" width=\"450\" show_faces=\"true\" font=\"verdana\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\"><\/fb:like><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a simple dish that everyone can make, given that one has the right chili, of course.
