Believe me, the aroma of the dish that comes out of cast iron pots is stronger and more convincing than if the same ingredients were thrown into a rice cooker or a wok to cook. All the different flavours become encapsulated within the pot when the various ingredients come together to cook and boil. Try them and see which one of these you like best!<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Ingredients<\/em><\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Butter: 1 tbsp + 1 tbsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bacon: 4 slices, diced<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Garlic: 3 cloves, finely chopped<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Onion: 2, finely chopped<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lemon thyme: leaves from 2 stalks<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Brown mushroom: 500g, sliced thinly<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cauliflower: 250g, cut into florets<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rice: 1.5 cups<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Boiling water: 3 cups<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chicken stock cube: 1<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Salt: to taste<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ground blackpepper: to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Method<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Heat 1 tbsp butter in a cast iron pot.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Add bacon. Stir-fry till just cooked.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Add garlic, onion &amp; thymes. Stir-fry till fragrant and onions turn translucent.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stir in mushrooms and cauliflowers. Mix evenly.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Add rice, water and chicken stock cube. Stir to mix evenly.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cover pot with lid. Leave to boil on low heat for 20 &#8211; 25 min till rice is cooked.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Remove lid from pot.
