After my pregnancy, my tastebuds switched from a sweet one to a totally savoury one.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So savoury muffins it shall be, and they aren&#8217;t all that new, really. I&#8217;ve seen many of these recipes online for quite a while now, except that they aren&#8217;t commonly found in local eateries and cafes. Unfortunately.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Which is why I am making them for myself at home and I can hence put as much cheese as I want in them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Believe me, they are simply irresistible!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Plain flour: 2 cups<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Baking powder: 1.5 tsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Double-acting baking powder: 1 tsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Salt: 1\/2 tsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Egg: 2<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Milk: 1 cup<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Olive oil: 3 tbsp<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Carrot: 2 big (or 3 small), finely grated<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cheddar cheese: 100g, finely grated<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Gruyere cheese: 100g, cut into small cubes<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">English parsley: 1 stalk, finely chopped<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Method<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Preheat oven at 180 degree Celsius.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Combine flour, baking powders and salt in a mixing bowl. Stir to combine.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, milk and olive oil together.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stir wet mixture into dry ingredients till combined.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Add carrot, cheeses and parsley into mixture. Stir to distribute evenly but do not over-work.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Scoop 2 tbsp of mixture into each of 12 greased muffin cups, about 3\/4 full.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bake 25 min till golden yellow and well-risen.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cool for 10 min before serving.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/peepor.net\/pint\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Carrot-Cheese-Muffin.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9572 aligncenter\" alt=\"Carrot &amp; Cheese Muffin\" src=\"https:\/\/peepor.net\/pint\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Carrot-Cheese-Muffin.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"577\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Disclaimers<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">This recipe tastes really similar to my &#8216;<strong><a title=\"Permalink to Beer Batter Cheese &amp; Dill Bread For The Cheese Lovers\" href=\"https:\/\/peepor.net\/pint\/blog\/?p=5390\" rel=\"bookmark\">Beer Batter Cheese &amp; Dill Bread For The Cheese Lovers<\/a><\/strong>&#8216;, likely because the gruyere cheese, which is one of my favourite ingredients in baking, tends to overwhelm the other ingredients in the recipe. But that&#8217;s exactly how I want it to be!<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">I used soya milk instead of dairy milk to bake the muffins as the little one is a little lactose-intolerant.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is a little greasy in taste due to the gruyere cheese.
