I remember my first taste of Arancini very clearly, even though nine years have already passed by.  We were both touring the Romanian city of Venice, Italy. It was getting late and dark and we were both in need of some convenient on-the-go food. I saw these big round deep-fried balls with rice and cheese that looked interesting enough to give a try. It was a really huge ball of rice but I finished it anyway (because it was too delicious)!

I used to like cooking this rice dish when I was still staying with my parents. The original recipe (I cannot remember where I plugged it out from – it was more than ten years ago!) called for the rice to be cooked in a rice cooker. It was therefore convenient to dump all the ingredients into the cooker and leave the rice to cook neatly.

In Einem Monat…

In einem Monat wird das Baby geboren werden. Nun schmertzt meinen Baum ein paar Mal am Tag  und muss ich mindestens zweimal in der Nacht zur Toilete gehen. Hoffentlich geht alles gut bis zu DEM TAG – der aktuallen Tag. Am wichtigsten wird unser Baby gesund sein.

I first got to learn about budae jjigae in one of the earlier episodes of ‘Running Man‘ – that was probably two years ago. The members had to team up to buy ingredients from the supermarkets and then whip up something delicious according to their allocated themes. Oh yes, if I did remember correctly too, that was the episode with some of the Girls’ Generation members on board as special guests too. Surprisingly, they could cook quite well. Oh well…
